Built on hard work and a love for the craft, Whit’s-Turn Tree Care has grown into a trusted, full service tree company serving homeowners throughout Atascadero, Paso Robles, Templeton, Santa Margarita, Heritage Ranch, San Luis Obispo and the surrounding Central Coast & beyond.
We specialize in tree removal, tree trimming and pruning, stump grinding, land clearing and 24-hour emergency tree service – handling everything from a single backyard Oak to a large scale property clearing.
As a California licensed contractor – CSLB #984037 – We carry full general liability and workers compensation insurance, so every job is covered from start to finish.

We take safety very seriously. We carry General Liability & Workers Compensation insurance to protect our clients and staff.
Can I send you a picture of my tree or get an approximate estimate over the phone?
To give you an accurate and dependable estimate, we need to visit your property in person. Tree pricing depends on many factors – size, location, access, and site conditions – that simply can’t be assessed remotely. The good news is our estimates are always free and we’re happy to come see you.
Can I get a day rate?
We don’t offer day rates and here’s why that’s better for you. When you hire by the hour or day, the cost is open ended and unpredictable. We provide a written estimate so you know exactly what you’ll pay before we start. No surprises, no watching the clock – just a clear price for your work that needs to be done.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Payment is due when service is complete.
We accept cash, check & Visa/Mastercard.
*3.5% fee for credit card processing.
Can I get wood chips from you?
We recommend Templeton Landscape Company for your landscaping needs. 1-805-434-2884
We currently do not sell or drop off chips.
Can you apply treatment products to my yard or trees?
At this time we do not perform any spraying or chemical treatments.
What is the story behind your name?
Tree care has always been in the family. When Whit’s brother ran his own tree service, the passion for tree work took root. When it came time to start his own company, the name was simple – it was Whit’s turn. That spirit of family, hard work, and love for the craft has shaped everything we do at Whit’s-Turn Tree Care ever since.

#2 Review & Schedule
We will send you an estimate via email. Once you’ve reviewed your estimate, scheduling is simple – just call our office or reply to the email and we’ll get you on the calendar. Have questions before you commit? We’re always happy to walk you through whatever questions you have.
#3 Crew Arrives At Your Property
Our crews arrive on time, fully equipped, and ready to work. From start to finish we’re focused on doing the job right – with the professionalism, care and quality promised from the start.
#4 Invoicing
Once your job is complete you’re welcome to pay the foreman directly with cash or check. If you prefer to be invoiced after the job is complete we will send an invoice to your email on file.
